About
I am an engineering leader with over 15 years of experience on frontier technology teams. Most recently, I built a well funded, 45-person company that tackled previously unsolved scientific and engineering challenges, leading to numerous world-first achievements in the field of <REDACTED>.
I started my career in Hollywood, where I gained three Academy Award nominations for my VFX work on movies including Pirates of the Caribbean 3, 2012 and How To Train your Dragon 2. I transitioned to aerospace engineering, first at XCOR and then at SpaceX, where I built the test bed for the grid fin steering system (allowing us to land orbital-class boosters) and designed automated valve testing equipment.
I’m passionate about building high performing teams to solve the toughest technical challenges in the world. I’m particularly interested in next generation energy and environmental technologies.
